With us, you are never a stranger
Since 1989 our company has been providing tourism related services in Bangladesh and the South-East Asia region to individuals and corporate clients. Mr. Hasan Mansur, a pioneer of tourism in Bangladesh and founder of The Guide Tours Ltd., nurtured his dream of developing tourism in Bangladesh by gathering a profound understanding thereof as a tour leader for a renowned Swedish Nature Tour Company Las och Res. Encouraged by his acquired experience and supported by his family, in April 1989 he founded The Guide Tours Ltd, starting with only 3 employees. Today, over eighty Guide Tours employees are dedicated to providing the best tourism related service, including travel advice, transport, ticketing and permission related assistance. We have developed our logistics in the form of transports, boats, resort and branch offices. Our selection of destinations is as diverse as our customers. All our offers are tailor-made and cater to their special interests and requirements. Our most prominent services are related to the Sundarban Forest, the largest contiguous mangrove forest in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our three specialized cruising boats enable travelers to enjoy the tranquility and natural diversity of Sundarban with the comfort of private cabins, traditional local cuisine and passionate Nature guides. By providing logistical support for scientific research as well as photographers and film crews, we significantly contribute to the conservation of Sundarban. Sundarban was once considered as a dense, dark and impenetrable jungle, the domain of the mysterious and elusive Royal Bengal Tiger – not only adverse to human habitation, but also difficult to visit. Under these circumstances our organization came forward to venture into this vast mysterious forest with necessary logistics for the adventurous tourists and the photographers alike. Worldwide reputed TV teams, like BBC, ABC, NHK, DW, Discovery Channel (India), Cicada Films availed our services for filming inside the forest. On numerous occasions, famous individual still-photographers from abroad as well as groups of native photographers traveled with us to these mystic mangroves. In collaboration with local ethnic communities we established the countries first Nature Resort in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, the Milonchori Hillside Resort. Surrounded by lush green hills, interspersed with indigenous villages, our resort offers the perfect setting for a holiday get-away. Within a short time Milonchori Hillside Resort has become popular with local and foreign guests; easily accessible by road and renowned for its cuisine as well as the breathtaking view. Our regular river-cruise and sightseeing tours in and around Dhaka are excellent introductory tours for the first-time visitors to Bangladesh. These day-tours are very popular among the expatriate community living in Bangladesh.
